The Frankston Club had a glorious day to hold their monthly competition day on Sunday 14th March. The enthusiastic crowd were treated to warm sunshine, slight breezes and a freshly cut, well prepared field.

Events listed for the day were Mini-Goodyear, Simple Rat Race and Simple Goodyear. In addition to the competition activity, stunt and sports flying took place during the course of the day.

Mini-Goodyear Team Race commenced in the morning with some close racing followed by a few spills and thrills.

  

A quick break for a BBQ snag, a drink and a chat, then it was time for Simple Rat Race. The condensed rules for this event are Unrestricted model design. Plain bearing unmodified engine. 5-minute heats and a ten-minute final.

Sports flying consisted of a number of stunt and trainer models making use of the grass circles over the entire day.

The dulcet tones of engines could be heard from 10.00am to 5.00 pm - another superb CLAMF Aerosports day !!
